Mayor's Message

I take great pride in our city. Corning’s history, charm, and spirit are qualities that inspire me every day, and I am grateful to call this remarkable community home. I value the institutions that strengthen our civic life, the natural environment that surrounds and sustains us, and the economic opportunities that allow our city to prosper.

Thanks to the dedication and hard work of those who have come before us, Corning is a place of thriving neighborhoods, vibrant commercial districts, exceptional educational organizations, and abundant arts and recreational resources. We are a community with deep roots in our history and a meaningful place in the global economy—something few cities our size can claim.

I am deeply appreciative of the trust you have placed in me as Mayor, and I will carry that trust with seriousness and humility. I pledge to serve every resident of our city with energy, integrity, and openness. I look forward to working along with all who have a stake in our community – residents of Corning, the business community, members of City Council, and our dedicated city staff – as we address our priorities and shape a bright future together. As we look ahead, maintaining and building upon Corning’s many strengths will be our shared responsibility.
